365.304: Indo Team Meeting

We had our first Indonesia team meeting tonight, which was a blast! I mean, we each brought a Mexican dish to share, so how could that be bad? I made this:

But that is not my beautiful photo. It is from this blog, where you will also see the recipe. I also added black beans, and highly recommend it. But I think that next time I probably wouldn't spend the time cutting fresh corn off the cob and steaming it, since the corn isn't the star of the dish. The cilantro and cumin lime vinaigrette really make the dish for me.

Anywho, team meeting was great. Meet our team:
From L to R: Erin and Charles Halley, the team leaders; behind them is Chris and Kelley Stone (and that is their daughter Mercy, front and center); Kathryn Mitchell; Ryan and myself; Ruth and Mike Sabin; and Sean Conroy behind them. The only ones missing are Keith and Annabeth Morgan, and their 8-year-old son, Jace, who you can see on the right hand side of this picture. Actually, Kathryn is the only one who wasn't on out college station trip! Crazy!

I kinda like this candid snapshot from when I was setting up the shot with a timer:

I would love for you to be praying for this group we'll spend two weeks with in June!

  1. I don't know who this Jennifer is, but I sure do like the looks of her mexican rice salad. I bet it'd be really tasty with quinoa too!
