365.109: Teacher Training

Today I went to the teacher training at Antioch in order to be a teacher in the three-year-olds' class for the next nine months.
It was really good. My favorite part about the way they teach children is that they don't just tell stories and maybe inspire them for the great Christian they could one day become; rather, they invite little children to participate in the Kingdom of God right now. After hearing the lesson, we break up into small groups to talk about what we learned and to pray for one another. Children learning how to lift each other up and live in community at such a young age is simply amazing!

"But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'" ~Luke 18:16

Before the training was over, they totally sucker-punched us with this video. It is parents talking to their son, and really mirrors the way that God adores us, rejoices in our small victories, and is proud of his children.
